Mi práctica artística investiga en lo cotidiano para experimentar la fragilidad del cuerpo, la inestabilidad de los materiales y la conciencia de la naturaleza. Mediante instalaciones, acciones y partituras proyecto situaciones colaborativas desde las que reflexionar sobre la manera en que las relaciones, la materialidad y los espacios sociales tienen el poder de alterar nuestro comportamiento y actitudes. En última instancia lo que busco es proponer un juego que nos permita actuar en nuestro presente compartido e imaginar el futuro que queremos. 

Artista e investigador obtuve un Doctorado en Bellas Artes de la Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha, Cuenca, España y un Posgrado en Comunicación Visual de la Hochschule für Bildende Künste Hamburg, Alemania. He realizado trabajos site-specific en ciudades como Berlín, Bogotá, Londres, Estocolmo, Madrid y México; y participo en proyectos interdisciplinares con grupos de investigación-creación a nivel internacional. He realizado estancias de creación en la Universidad Nacional de Colombia, Bogotá; el Instituto de Bellas Artes en Ciudad de México; el Instituto de Investigación en Arte, Diseño y Sociedad en Oporto, entre otras. He recibido becas y premios como la Beca de Artes Plásticas Marcelino Botín, el Premio Proyectos Injuve, la Ayuda para la promoción del arte contemporáneo del Ministerio de Cultura, así como la Ayuda de Movilidad PICE-Acción Cultural España.

My artistic practice investigates in the everyday to experience the fragility of the body, the instability of materials and awareness of nature. Through installations, actions and scores, I project collaborative situations from which to reflect on how relationships, materiality and social spaces have the power to alter our behavior and attitudes. Ultimately, what I’m looking for is to propose a game that allows us to act in our shared present and imagine the future we want. 

A research-based artist, I received a PhD in fine arts from the University of Castilla-La Mancha (UCLM), Cuenca, Spain and an MA in Visual Communication from the Hochschule für Bildende Künste Hamburg, Germany. I have carried out site-specific works in cities such as Berlin, Bogota, London, Stockholm, Madrid and Mexico; and developed interdisciplinary projects in research groups at an international level. I have been a resident at the National University of Colombia, Bogota; the Institute of Fine Arts, Mexico City; the Research Institute of Art, Design and Society, Porto, among others. The grants and awards I received include the Visual Arts Fellowship Marcelino Botín, Premio Proyectos Injuve, Grant for the promotion of contemporary Spanish art – Ministry of Culture, as well as the Mobility Grant PICE-Acción Cultural España.
